SEPTEMBER 18TH SET AS SCHOOL HIGH ATTENDANCE DAY
posted 09/17/2014 by wkcarroll@highland.net

The McCreary County school District, and in fact school districts across Kentucky, encourage their students to be in class every day. However, this Thursday September 18th has been set aside statewide as “High Attendance Day” in Kentucky schools with schools at each level, elementary, middle and high school, competing with other schools in the state. Categories based on school sizes will be established with schools with the highest attendance in each category receiving cash prizes to assist their school and students. School officials remind students and parents of the importance of good attendance to avoid falling behind in lessons and to develop good habits fur future life. Again, this Thursday September 18th will be “High Attendance Day” with all students in the McCreary County School District encouraged to be in class that day.
