The McCreary Center of Somerset Community College will again host its “International Festival” with activities scheduled for this Wednesday October 10th at the campus in Whitley City. Beginning at 10:00am, visitors will be able to experience exhibits, displays and programs from regions around the world including Japan, India, Russia and beyond. At 10:00am an opening ceremony will be held and led by McCreary Center Director Gayle Borders with flag presentations and coffee bar by Peg Taylor. The program continues at 11:00am with Spanish poetry, tasting sessions and writing stations, followed by Filipino dancers at 12noon, along with music, barn quilts and international food. The afternoon sessions include a presentation on England at 1:00pm, anime, Native American program and programs on China and the chopstick relay. All events are free and open to the public at the McCreary Center this Wednesday.
