The Big South Fork National River and Recreation Area is scheduled to host the 21stannual “Haunting in the Hills” Storytelling Festival Saturday September 21st. Event organizers are currently seeking volunteers to take part in the day’s activities. In addition to crafters and demonstrators the festival is in need of musicians and other types of volunteers. To sell crafts during the festival there is a one-time fee of $25 which also allows vendors to set up at other events in the Big South Fork such as the Cultural Heritage Days at Blue Heron in October. Crafters must supply their own tents, tables and chairs for setup. The deadline to apply as a vendor is September 6th and you will need to contact Letitia Neal for information at 423-569-2404 extension 267 or e-mail email@example.com. Demonstrators and other volunteers can contact Effie Houston at 423-569-9779 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org. For more general information on the storytelling festival you can call the Bandy Creek Visitor Center at 423-286-7275 or visit www.nps.gov/biso.
