This past weekend was a busy one for staff at the McCreary County Jail as several new inmates were booked at the local detention center. Jonathan Manning was booked Friday afternoon on charges of trafficking in a controlled substance 1st degree, the first of several drug and alcohol related charges filed over the weekend. On Saturday 23 year old Steven Watson was booked for fleeing or evading police and non-payment of fines and Preston Warman age 21 of Stearns was booked for receiving stolen property under $500 after being arrested by Constable Freddie Clark. 45 year old Jeffrey Allen Thompson was jailed Sunday morning on charges of failure to appear, non-payment of fines and a probation or parole violation warrant. Constable Clark also arrested 50 year old Jacob Taylor of Robbins, Tennessee Sunday afternoon booking him on charges of driving under the influence, trafficking in a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, prescription drugs not in proper container and a bench warrant. 34 year old Barbara Garcia of Whitley City was booked Sunday evening for DUI and no operator’s license and 25 year old Billie Bolin was jailed Sunday with charges against her including driving under the influence, no insurance and non support. 18 year old Robert Creekmore of Williamsburg was booked Sunday evening by McCreary County Sheriff’s Deputy Jerry Meadows on two counts of assault 4th degree, domestic violence with minor injuries.
