The fall high school sports season are coming to an end with the McCreary Central Lady Raiders volleyball and soccer teams finishing up with district tournament play last week. The Lady Raiders soccer team fell to Somerset 10-0 in the tournament ending their season with a record of 0-16. Somerset went on to drop the district championship game to Pulaski County. In volleyball action, the Lady Raiders lost in the district tournament to Wayne County 3-0 with Wayne County then losing in the championship match to Southwestern Pulaski. The Lady Raiders volleyball squad finished the season with an impressive 22-6 record overall. Meanwhile, the Raiders football team dropped a game on the road to rival Wayne County last week 62-8 with only two games left in the season. The Raiders bring their current record of 1-7 into another road game this Thursday at Bell County, followed by their final game of the season at home Friday October 26th against Jackson County.
